The Swanston Gazette is RMIT’s student-run publication, giving students a space to publish their work, experiment with ideas, and get real newsroom experience. We cover everything from campus politics to pop culture, essays, sport, and the occasional student scandal. (Only kidding!)

During my time as Editor and later Editor-in-Chief, I led a small but mighty team of writers and editors to publish stories that reflected student life in all its chaos and charm. I edited copy, managed deadlines, and helped shape the Gazette’s voice.

I also wrote a few pieces myself, collaborated with some incredible local brands, and watched our newsroom grow into a little journo family. It was messy, creative, and one of the best parts of my degree.
